Farewell Assembly – Mr Beacham
On Thursday April 10th, our school community came together for a heartfelt and memorable farewell assembly in honour of Mr. Paul Beacham, who has faithfully served Southern Hills Christian College for over 27 years. As our beloved principal, Paul’s leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the College have left an enduring legacy that will not be forgotten.
The assembly was filled with emotion—tears, laughter, and many moments of reflection. Staff, students, and special guests gathered to celebrate Paul’s incredible journey, sharing stories that highlighted his deep faith, humility, and vision for the College. Guest speakers, including Dr. Graeme Cross, Mr. Campbell Murray, Mr. Jamie Mellor, Pastor Gary, and our head girl, Tameka, each paid tribute to the powerful impact Paul has had on our school and its people.
We were also blessed by a moving performance from our student band, and a beautiful expression of love and support from Paul’s wife, whose presence has been a constant strength throughout his time here.
Paul, your influence will continue to shape the lives of students and staff for years to come. Thank you for your dedication, for leading with grace and purpose, and for being a testimony to God’s faithfulness in every season.
As part of the celebration, we also shared a special farewell video—a heartfelt tribute from the school community and a personal message from Mr. Beacham himself. It’s a touching reminder of the deep connection Paul has with our students, staff, and families. The video captures not just memories, but the gratitude we all feel for his unwavering dedication, servant leadership, and the Christ-centered vision he carried so faithfully.
Paul, you will not be forgotten—but you will be dearly missed.
