ACC Lightning Carnival Success!

Found in: Sport News

Earlier this week Mrs Hasluck, Mr O'Brien, Ms Vallance and Mr Yap took a group of secondary school students to participate in the ACC Lightning Carnival.

It was the first time that Southern Hills has participated in this event and there was much anticipation and excitement by the students.

The netball teams played cohesively under the guidance of Ms Vallance and Mrs Hasluck. The team performed very well and has gained valuable experience in competitive netball.

The Touch Rugby and Ultimate Frisbee team were welcomed by officials from Touch Rugby WA and Ultimate Frisbee WA. They ran a short coaching session to ensure all students understood the basics of each sport.

During all the game our players exhibited good sportsmanship and performed well in the competition. Both teams won every single game.

Their commitment and dedication to spend time training together has paid off with positive results and outstanding achievement.

Congratulation to all involved and thank you to all parents who came to cheer and support the team.

Some photos from the day demonstrate the happiness and cohesion amongst the Southern Hills students at the carnival.
