Tennis Wraps Up for Term Two

Found in: School News

Last Friday we had our final tennis lesson for the term.

The children have participated very well in the Friday Morning Tennis Club. They arrived at school for a 7:25 am start and showed commitment to their sport despite the early starting time.

Coach Max Anderson, with the support of Mrs Enright, delivered a fantastic program which was engaging and delevoped the skills required for those who are new to the game.

The children have learnt the forehand, backhand, volley and serve. They have also learnt how to move effectively on the court.

"Champs and Challengers" was a favourite game for the group who shared many humorous moments together on and off the court. The children should be commended for their manners and commitment by Mr Anderson and Mrs Enright and we wish Mr Anderson a wonderful winter break with his wife. We look forward to his return in the near future.

Maybe we will have a Wimbledon prospect from Southern Hills in the future!
