There was plenty of fun and food at Quiz Night last Saturday. Between paper plane races, the coveted coin toss and heads and tails, the brainiacs got to work. After the results were tallied, we ended up with a three-way tie! Who knew this was possible; we clearly have a talented community. After Ms Esther Vallance and the judges did some quick additional quiz questions to break the tie our final winners were decided. Well done to everyone! We hope you enjoyed all the goodies distributed throughout the night. The event raised $4,500 towards a large format fan in the school gymnasium.
Thanks go to student Jacob Sciarrone and his mum, Lisa, for approaching small businesses for donations and to Jacob for his initiative in getting signed sports memorabilia. Thanks also to the staff who worked hard to make this a fun night and to everyone who participated.
Finally, thanks to all our donors and sponsors without whom we could not have presented the evening or raised the funds we did. In particular, those members of our own school community, Richard Clamp from Solar naturally, Travis Grogan from O'Neil Real Estate, Ian Priday of Allwest Plant Hire, the Nield family, the Bjorson family of Buddy and Moo and Tessa Chapman, aka Tickled Pink Posies. Thanks also to Champs at Play, Melissa Lee, Rachael Miles who baked cupcakes and brownies for sale and finally, to Sandy from Creative Soul Solutions who will become a school parent next year.
Whether large or small, all contributions were gratefully received and may you all be blessed for your generosity.
