The Year 5 class teacher Ms Vivia Woermann is taking a study break in the near future to pursue Biblical studies at an American Bible college north of Sacramento in California.
Ms Woermann is sad to leave her class mid-year, but the northern hemisphere school year begins in August and so she needs to be there for day of her course.
She will return to Southern Hills in a year’s time.
“Its sad to have to take this break from teaching these wonderful children right now,” said Ms Woerman.
“I applied for this course a long time ago, and I feel that I need to pursue this study while it is available. I only wish I could be in two places at once!”
The Year 5 class will welcome Mrs Hannah Murphy, who has quickly established herself as a brilliant young teacher at Southern Hills this year.
Mrs Murphy was raised in the country town of Narrogin, and has an appreciation for the diversity of the city/country culture at Southern Hills.
“I love it! It’s a beautiful part of the world to live and work in!”, says Mrs Murphy, who lives in Kalamunda with her husband. She attends Kalamunda Church of Christ and completed her final practicum at Kalamunda Christian School.
Please welcome Mrs Murphy if you see her around the College campus.
