Our Year 6 Class from Southern Hills Christian College is eagerly anticipating their Eastern States Trip, which will take place in just six days’ time.

This tour is linked to their Year 6 Civics and Citizenship curriculum and gives students an opportunity to learn more about Australia. Students will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs and activities with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage and democracy.

The trip is an annual event which is made possible with the assistance of the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER) program. This assistance reduces the cost per student for the trip, enables teaching opportunities within the historical settings of Canberra and allows for a fuller experience of our students at such a young age.

As a school, we are grateful for this government initiative to help us make this trip a possibility for our students.

Thankyou PACER program and all those involved in making this annual trip possible!

We wish our students a safe and wonderful learning adventure.
