A bushfire ADVICE has been issued for people north of Thomas Road, east of the railway line, south of Moore Street and Cooliabbera Drive and west of the Wungong Regional Park in BEDFORDALE, MOUNT RICHON, WUNGONG, DARLING DOWNS and BYFORD in the CITY OF ARMADALE and SHIRE OF SERPENTINE-JARRAHDALE.
The alert level for this fire has been downgraded as the immediate threat has passed.
There is no threat to lives or homes.
Although there is no immediate danger you need to be aware and keep up to date in case the situation changes.
The fire started near the intersection of ADMIRAL ROAD and ALBANY HIGHWAY in BEDFORDALE.
We were not advised of a school closure by FESA. Today's expected rain has come in early.

We are currently waiting for advice regarding the status of the fire and the likelihood of notification of a school closure.
In the event we are notified of a school closure, college staff will make contact with every family.
We have been advised of the bushfire currently active in Bedfordale as at 17:05 . It has been confirmed that all staff and students have left the school grounds.
