To celebrate National Science Week, selected secondary students attended A Day @ DNA Zoo.
This full-day event combined live-stream lectures and activities hosted by top conservation genomics researchers and bioinformaticians at the University of Western Australia. It also included hands-on experience with research-grade equipment to copy and analyse DNA from indigenous Australian mammals, and using 3D technology to visualize chromosomes, led by an on-site researcher from UWA.
This was an amazing opportunity for our science students.
