Found in: News

Southern Hills Christian College Year eleven students spent between four and six days enjoying the Western Australian south-west.

The camp is strategically placed at the beginning of the year and works through the theme of 'choices'.

Secondary students at the college start a series of activities, camps and sessions that challenge our students from year seven to twelve as the change from children to young adults.

The students participated in rock-climbing, mountain-bike riding, abseiling, sailing and surfing as part of the weeks events.  Year eleven outdoor education students also competed the personally challenging Cape to Cape hike.

"The students behaviour was outstanding.  It is a real pleasure working with and watching our students grow into mature, respectful and others-focused young people," said deputy principal, Mrs Louwen, who spent a number of days on the camp.
