Kindergarten Excursion to Caversham Wildlife Park

Found in: News

Southern Hills Christian College kindergarten students thoroughly enjoyed their first excursion to Caversham Wildlife Park.

To start our day we enjoyed morning tea together before attending the 'Wombat and Friends' show, where we met lots of different Australian bush animals including a snake, lizard, wombat, birds and a spotted quoll.  After the show we broke off into small groups to feed kangaroos by hand, pat a cuddly koala or two and meet some Australian farm animals.

We finished our day with lunch in the park and a play on the playground with the Pre-Primary class. By the time we got on the bus we were all exhausted from our wonderful day and ready for a rest. Some of us even fell asleep on the bus.

It was a great experience where we got to see and interact with all the Australian animals we’ve learnt about this term.
