Cadet News!

Found in: Emergency Services Cadet News

It was a great turnout this week for another fun filled afternoon at cadets, The cadets firstly gathered in the gym to mark the roll and they organised themselves into their sections ready for the planned activities.

Sections 1 and 2 under the supervision of Mr Pleysier and Mr Chapman went on the bus and conducted some tree planting at Neerigen Brook as part of their community service duties.

Mr Vallance this week had some assistance with an invited guest Mr Lee who conducted some drill training with sections 3 and 4. The cadets ran through some revision of the basic static drill moves and progressed on to some marching to complete the session. The aim is to have the cadets improve their skills prior to the Drill Presentation and Award Ceremony later in the term.

You know what they say, practice makes perfect and wouldn’t it also be great to one day see the cadets participating and marching in an ANZAC Day parade.

Sections 5 and 6 developed their water and fire safety skills conducting lessons with Mrs Hastings, Mr Koh, Mr Prinsloo and Mrs Lee in accordance with their Emergency Services Cadet Corps Handbook.
