Singapore Students Visit Southern Hills and Enjoy Australian Hospitality

Found in: School News

Students from  Junyuan Secondary School attended Southern Hills Christian College today and had a great time learning a little bit about life in Australia.

Led by their guides Anna and Kade, the group was taken through the Native Bush Play area and had photos on the old log amongst the banksias and eucalyptus trees.

College Principal Paul Beacham then welcomed the students who had flown in yesterday from Changi Airport.

They enjoyed story time with Mrs Jean Tidy, Pre-Primary lessons with Mrs Menage and Mrs Enright.

After a recess break with the Australian students, they experienced a Chinese lesson with Mr Sandlund and then enjoyed Halal Chicken Rice cooked and prepared by our Year 10 and 11 students.

Special thanks to Mrs Esther Bryan for her help in making the day such a success with her culinary genius and to all teachers and students who embodied the Southern Hills spirit and gave a special effort for our wonderful guests.
