Reflecting on a successful Eastern States Trip 2018

Found in: School News

The 2018 Eastern States Trip was a joint initiative of Southern Hills Christian College and Mundaring Christian college.  The students travelled from Perth and travelled to unique locations: Salamanca Markets in Tasmania, Sovereign Hill in Victoria, and Parliament House (old and new), the War Memorial and The Australian Institute of Sport in our nation’s capital city of Canberra.

The trip is an annual event which is made possible through the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER) program.  This assistance reduces the cost per student for the trip, enables teaching opportunities with the historical settings in Canberra and allows for a fuller experience or our students at such a young age.

As a school, we are grateful for this government initiative that allows us to make this trip a possibility for our students.

Thankyou PACER program and all those involved in making this annual trip possible!
