On Wednesday 3rd August, our Red Cross Cadets continued their partnership with the Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group by planting over 900 trees in Kelmscott.
By participating in community service, our cadets are actively involved in helping restore and replenish the idyllic environment along the Canning River. All Cadets were enthusiastic as they got to work, using skills they learned over various other volunteer opportunities.
The location at Fancote Park was chosen by the Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group for us to help create a natural pathway for native animals to access the river.
The cadets came away tired and a bit muddy, but fulfilled by their service to the environment and their community.
